About Our Public Domain Information Mapping Services

As part of our ongoing mission to "connect people with the information they need to know using maps (of all sorts)", we create useful (often funamental) knowledge framework maps of public domain information using Mindjet MindManager. We then make them available on our online mapstore at for the benefit of all.

As much as is possible our maps link to the definitive online source of the information, like an organisation / inititiative official website. That way you can be sure of getting the most up to date version "straight from the horses mouth". For example our standard calendar maps list all the official United Nations commemorative days and link to appropriate page on the UN website.

We also link to Wikipedia articles wherever possible, as this often gives background and contextual information absent from "official" webpages. Or it may be the best source to give at least gives some information in the absence of an official webpage.

Some of our maps solely map Wikipedia articles, giving them information a more visual structure than the wiki format allows. For example our Periodic Table of Chemical Elements Wikipedia Webmap (BASIC Edition) links to every elements article, as well as to those for the different element groups and other contextual information.

As well as being a great source of information, we want to encourage people to contribute their knowledge to Wikipedia for the benefit of all and so complete the virtuous circle of public knowledge (see our blog post). We very much subscribe to the philosophy that humanity progresses because we are all standing on the shoulders of giants.

"Coming Soon" Public Domain Information Maps

The Coming Soon page of our mapstore lists all our maps that are currently “in production”. This encompasses maps that are still at the idea stage, to those that are at the final stages of completion, and all points in between.

However as they are fond of saying in TV talent shows these days, the maps in our Coming Soon page are listed “in no particular order” in terms of what's next off the production line. Thus if you see a map there that you are keen to get your hands on, then get in touch and we will make it a priority to make it available in the store for you as soon as we can.

Please contact us directly to discuss your map requirements.
